Intervention Criteria

 

TIER 1:

Tuesday and Thursday 9 - 2:30

KS1/ LKS 2 (6-9 years) - Based at The Corn Barn and UK S2/KS3 (10 - 14 years) - Based at Chews House

They are experiencing Emotionally Based School Avoidance (EBSA) and/or

  • They struggle with the demands of school due to mental ill health and/or

  • They have exhibited self-harming behaviour within the previous six months

 

​TIER 2:

Monday, Wednesday 9 - 2:30 and Friday 9 - 1:30

KS1/ LKS 2 (6-9 years) - Based at The Corn Barn

  • They have frequent, intense emotional outbursts in response to reasonable behavioural expectations and/or

  • They frequently display antisocial behaviour that disrupts their learning and/or

  • They have experienced 2 suspensions or are at risk of expulsion from school​

Therapeutic Input

 

The Regulation Station provides therapeutic interventions aimed at supporting families and young people.

 

Our service includes one-on-one sessions, family support interventions, and group therapy, offered both at our facilities and through outreach.

 

Our team creates a safe and supportive environment where children and adolescents can freely express themselves, fostering emotional healing, resilience, and confidence.

Partnering with Parents & Carers

 

Parents/Carers are an important part of their child’s self-regulation skills journey.  Our Family Engagement Workers support the partnership between The Regulation Station and Home by building relationships with parents/carers, helping them to understand self-regulation skills as a supportive and developmental measure.

 

Family Engagement Workers can also support parents in identifying their areas of need and setting goals, which may include accessing training opportunities, meeting medical needs, or seeking employment.

The Regulation Station offers 2 commissioning models:

 

Pay-Per-Student

  • Pay monthly per student per service

  • Additional AP and outreach services are available at an additional cost

 

Termly or Annual Subscription

  • Fixed-term/annual cost per school

  • Bundled services that support multiple students

  • Graduated provision that offers flexible support for changing needs

  • Additional AP and Outreach services are available at a significant discount

Child Therapy

Therapeutic Input

The Regulation Station provides a wide range of therapeutic interventions aimed at supporting families and young individuals.

 

Our service includes one-on-one sessions, family support interventions, and group therapy, offered both at our facilities and through an outreach program.

 

Each session is designed to meet the diverse needs of families and individuals. Our team creates a safe and supportive environment where children and adolescents can freely express themselves, fostering emotional healing, resilience, and confidence.

Continuing Professional Development

​Agencies can access training and guidance on the DBT self-regulation skills training process so that they can support students in the practice of the skills as they learn them each week.

Partnering with Parents & Carers

​Our Family Engagement Workers support the partnership between The Regulation Station and Home by building relationships with parents/carers. At The Regulation Station, we offer psychometric assessment 

  • Exact - reading comprehension, reading, writing and typing speed

  • Dyslexia screener

  • Dyscalculia screener

  • New Group Reading Test (Secondary and Primary)

 

We also utilise the Pupils’ Attitude to Self and School (PASS), Core 10, Short Warwick-Edinburgh Mental Wellbeing Scale (SWEMWBS) and Student Resilience Survey, simple assessments that provide insight into children’s social and emotional skills, attitudes to school and support the identification of mental health needs.
